Tool and material cooling - CoolMin® internal / external
CoolMin® tool and material cooling is the ideal solution for dry machining operations. In modern manufacturing, it is crucial to cool tools and materials efficiently in order to ensure a high surface quality and long tool life. Conventional cooling with lubricants often leads to undesirable side effects such as contamination or attack on the material.
With the patented CoolMin® system, these problems are a thing of the past. This advanced cooling system utilises a cold air nozzle that works on the eddy current principle to split the airflow into hot and cold air. This enables effective cooling without humidity, minimising unwanted side effects. Operation of the system only requires compressed air in the range of 6 to 10 bar.
The advantages of CoolMin® are manifold: Dry chips can be easily vacuumed or blown off, which improves the cleanliness of your working environment. In addition, direct tool cooling, even for tools with internal cooling, significantly extends the utilisation time. The result is a protected surface and an optimised production process.
