Drive controller iMD 20 for servomotors
The iMD 20 Drive controllers are cost-efficient output stages specially developed for EC servo motors. This product is ideally suited for use in CNC machines and automation technology. The compact design of the housing is perfectly suited for installation in control cabinets.
Thanks to its extensive parameterisation options, the iMD 20 offers flexible adaptation to a wide range of applications. All necessary settings can be made conveniently via the user-friendly commissioning software. Various user interfaces are available for integration into your individual applications. Particularly noteworthy is the CANopen interface, which can be used to implement synchronous point-to-point positioning (S-PTP), speed control, continuous path control (CP) and time-synchronised multi-axis applications.
Additional interfaces include a ±10V interface, which serves as a speed setpoint, and an RS232 interface. When operating with the CAN bus, a distance sensor can be connected via the ±10V interface to enable real-time distance corrections for LASER applications, for example. Fast inputs for 3D probes and handwheel operation are also integrated.
The short controller cycle times (current, speed and position controllers) guarantee optimum behaviour with highly dynamic drives. The iMD 20 is suitable for rotary drives as well as for linear direct drives and torque motors. Redundant standstill monitoring has been implemented, minimising the need for external control modules and considerably simplifying the use of your machine.
