Length measuring sensor iMS
The non-contact magnetic length measuring system iMS, which precisely measures both linear and radial positions by scanning a magnetically coded measuring tape using a highly sensitive sensor, is a cost-effective alternative to conventional optical measuring systems and is characterised by its insensitivity to contamination such as liquids, grease and dust.
Our length measuring system offers you maximum reliability and robustness at an attractive cost. It is equipped with a sturdy housing that provides optimum protection for the sensor. Choose between two available sensor interfaces: A pulse encoder with incremental RS422 output AB (Z optional) or a SIN/COS encoder (Z optional) with a voltage amplitude of 1Vpp for further processing in your peripherals.
The system has two channels A and B and supports both incremental RS422 differential operation and analogue 1VSS differential operation. The resolution is incremental/digital with an impressive repeat accuracy of ±1 Inc.
Another highlight is the magnetic tape, which is attached to a self-adhesive, rust-proof steel carrier tape - for simple and durable installation.

| with no or little effect on the measuring standard | Chemical resistance to contamination with engine oil, gear oils, ATF, hydraulic oil, paraffin, antifreeze, Clorox cleaning agent, turpentine, water, salt water. The specified substances have no or little effect on the long-term resistance of the measuring standard, this depends, among other things, on the concentration, temperature and exposure time of the contaminants. Please check your application. |
