iPU-DC / iPU-EC (multi-axis controller)

 

General

The Power Units iPU are powerful drive controllers for up to four linear or rotary axes with brushed or brushless motors. The compact controller integrates all the necessary control components required to solve a wide range of automation tasks. These range from the iMD10 or iMD20 power output stages and the I/O module to the safety controller and power electronics.

As an interface to the NC controller, the iPU Power Unit ühas a CANopen interface on the back of the housing, which operates in accordance with the DS301 and DS402 bus protocol. Using the optional iCC 10 CAN PCI card or a control computer from the iPC series, the controller enables interpolation (linear, circular, helix) of all four axes as well as path processing.

The power output stages used (iMD10 or iMD20) also feature automatic jerk limitation and standstill monitoring, while the operating elements integrated into the housing front, such as EMERGENCY OFF, START or STOP, enable convenient operation.
